Color Guide to Asian Teas

Powder Kratom Tea

Big Easy Herb Company provides only high quality kratom. Each batch is tested for purity and against contaminants.

One of our most commonly asked questions is what are the differences in varieties or strains of kratom (aka asian tea) Mitragynina speciosa. You see people talk about red, green, white, and yellow “vein” kratom. But what does this really mean? And what do people say of the differing affects of the different types.

My grandmother used to look at the sky at dusk and remark “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight…” There is a similar helpful rhyme that is a handy way of remembering what the different colors do:

Red for bed,
White for flight,
Green for in between.

While all kratom has certain properties, our customers find each variety has its own unique proportional blend of these basic properties: pain relief, stimulation, sedation, mood enhancement.

Red varieties are said to help with pain and have a relaxing affect to help one rest.

White varieties provide energy and provide focus.

Green varieties, our customers find, provides mood enhancement and energy to help one get through the day.

What about Yellow? Our Yellow Vietnam tea is a new and relatively rare variety. Users say it has an affect similar to green varieties, though a little more mellow in intensity. Customers have reported finding that is helps with mood enhancement, relieving discomfort, energy, and focus.
